Geoffrey Norris was born in Durban, South Africa on the 7th September 1951. After extensive performing with the Rock Musical Hair in Southern Africa, Portugal and Spain in the early 70s he continued his theatrical training at the London School of Speech Formation and Dramatic Art, graduating in 1978.
Geoffrey has toured extensively throughout Britain, Eire, Continental Europe, Scandinavia, Southern Africa, and North America with Ashdown Eurythmy, (of whom he was a founder member and principal reciter), The Dornach Stage Players, The Stuttgart Eurythmeum, The Botton / Ringwood Eurythmy Group, The Anderida Ensemble, Portal Productions and The Rose Theatre Company.
He was a founder member of The Rose Theatre Company and toured with them from 1990 appearing in all their productions, including the part of Trevrizent in their last innovative production "13 Mirrors" the story of the Grail, with which they gained a 5***** review at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 1999. He also played the role of Professor Capesius in all 4 of Rudolf Steiner's Mystery Dramas as presented by Portal Productions and the Rose Theatre Company (1989-1998). He took the lead role as an Irish Bard/storyteller in the "Pericles Theatre Company" production of the ancient Irish tale "The Children of Lir" and the part of The Beggar King in the companies evocative drama of love, hate, good and evil entitled "The Bench". He is at the moment rehearsing a new production of the same.
